Abstract

The most important feature of Hervé Le Tellier, one of the contemporary French writers, who received the Goncourt award, one of the most important literary awards of France in 2020, is his strong commitment to the oulipian event. In the author's work Anomaly, which can be described as a novel of possibilities with endless consequences in an Oulipian structure, genres intertwine and form a complex and hybrid structure. Many genres such as black novels, new novels, naturalist novels, romance novels, science fiction, philosophical, spiritual and existentialist novels are experienced in the same work and have been designed to create a great upper picture. Le Tellier deliberately brings various restrictions to practice the genre, giving the novel a multi-layered structure. In the study, after defining the general theoretical framework of the texts, contemporary French writer Hervé le Tellier's Anomali will be analysed within the framework of the experimental novel theory, Oulipo, and the types of literature in the novel will be determined. The ten characters given as subtitles in the first part of the novel will be examined one by one, interpreting which type of novel each character constitutes an example of the novel and traces of oulipo and intertextuality in the work will be searched.
