Abstract

In this artiele, the novels about the beginning of the Otttoman Empire have been studied. The novels are as follows: Osmanoğulları, Sultan Yıldırım Bayezid, Devlet Ana, Osmancık, Deli Kurt, Ağustos Başağı, Konak, çatı, Üçler-Yediler-Kırklar, Bu Atlı Geçide Gider, Geçitteki Ülke, Darağacı. In this artiele, the subjects, the events, the characters and other originalities of the novels have been explained. The conelusions are as follows:1- The authors mostly adopted the historical realities about events and characters in their novels.2- There were a lot of characaters in these novels. These characters are as follows: Sultans, Sultan' s warrior friends, religious men, scientists, women, and Christians.3- In these novels, the themes such as the process of settling civilization, IslamChristianity, changing religion, science, the point of view about womanhood and Shamanism have been studied.4- The authors have successfully used historicalliterary style and arcaic vocabulary in their novels.5- The historical novel is a very important genre that is used in both education and art.6- In Turkish literature, the historical novel has developed from didacticism to a literary style.

Yazıda Osmanlı Devletinin kuruluş devrini konu alan romanlar incelenmektedir. Ele alınan romanlar şunlardır: Osmanoğulları, Sultan Yıldırım Bayezid, Devlet Ana, Osmancık, Deli Kurt, Ağustos Başağı, Konak, çatı, Üçler-Yediler-Kırklar, Bu Atlı Geçide Gider, Geçitteki Ülke, Darağacı. Yazıda romanların konuları, şahıs kadrosu ve diğer özellikleri üzerinde durulmuş ve şu sonuçlara varılmıştır:1- Yazarlar, romanlarındaki vakaların ve karakterlerin tarihe sadakati konusunda hassasiyet göstermişlerdir.2- Romanlarda kalabalık bir şahıs kadrosu bulunmaktadır. Bunlar şöyle sıralanabilir: Beyler, beylerin silah arkadaşları, din adamları, ilim adamları, kadınlar, hıristiyanlar.3- Romanlarda yerleşik medeniyete geçiş, müslümanlık-hıristiyanlık, din değiştirme, ilim, kadına bakış, şamanlık gibi temler işlenmiştir.4- Yazarlar, roman kurgularının sağlam olmasına dikkat etmişlerdir.5- Yazarlar romanlarında tarihi bir üslfip kullanmaya çalışmışlardır.6- Tarihi roman, hem bir sanat dalı, hem de bir eğitim aracı olarak kullanılan ciddi bir türdür.7- Tarihi roman Türk Edebiyatında, didaktiklikten başlayan, sanata doğru gelişen bir çizgi takip etmiştir.
