Abstract

Inappropriateworking postures cause musculoskeletal disorders which are seen in the variousregions of the body such as back, arm, neck and wrist etc. These discomfortsare often seen at employees who use physical strength while working. Thesedisorders cause to decrease production productivity. Ceramics sector is one ofthe sectors that have physical enforcements, workers are exposed to overloadsand then musculoskeletal disorders occur. In this study, to analyze workingconditions, for three operations in a ceramic factory producing such products as closet, washbasin etc. ergonomicrisk assessments were done by using the methods of REBA and BAUA. Afterergonomic improvement recommendations in three units, all the REBA score waslessened from 41 to 13 and then risk level for the operations reduced to“acceptable” level.
